Cox Automotive estimates 1,275,714 BEV sales in the United States in 2025, down 2% from 2024.
The ranking represents that market, without adding Canada or Mexico. It also preserves the distinction between battery electric cars and plug-in hybrids. The Tesla figures are estimates from the report. To interpret a change in trend, use the full year and check whether a figure refers to a quarter or the annual total.
